Understanding New Zealand fisheries

The Fisheries of New Zealand website provides a hierarchical characterisation of New Zealand commercial fisheries based on the catch, effort, and landings data reported to Fisheries New Zealand. The characterisation uses data beginning in 1990 (after the establishment of the Quota Management System) and is updated annually.
